DevOps empowered by Microsoft Flow and Microsoft Power Apps
    14:00 - 14:45

One of the biggest opportunities and use cases for Microsoft Flow and Microsoft Power Apps is in the DevOps world.  In this session Mike will look at the common scenario of support tasks which are proving a pain for an organization and how Flow and PowerApps can encourage a devops mentality by automating part or all of those tasks to allow teams to be more efficient and to focus on higher value tasks.

Confused.com & their Journey with Azure
    14:45 - 15:15

Steve and colleagues present a whiteboard session exploring their use of Azure. As an early adopter they'll be plenty of lessons to be learnt in this fantastic session.

That Tricky 2nd Pipeline - what we've learnt at Sage
    15:35 - 16:20

Some years ago at Sage we took our traditional, shrink-wrapped software and deployed it in the cloud, initially running it using a relatively old-school IT operations approach. That's fine when you start out, but it doesn't scale to "cloud scale". Automation helps, but when you still have ops and test engineers doing deployments in the middle of the night, for multiple products, across multiple timezones, you realise that you need to go further. Adopting DevOps practices and working towards Continuous Delivery brings a number of benefits, but it's far easier said than done when you're trying to retrofit it to existing products that weren't designed that way.

Having just "finished" our first release pipeline (not withstanding the need for continual improvement), our Azure-based ops team at the Newcastle HQ is bundling up the lessons learned and trying to apply them across the rest of our product family. How do we make sure that we turn local knowledge into organisational wisdom, avoid re-inventing wheels, and ramp up our speed of delivery of CI/CD across the estate? We've made the big up-front investment, but you don't get to keep making big investments over and over. How do we get lean and deliver value ever more rapidly?

We think we have some of the answers (maybe only a few), but hopefully in sharing what we've learned, more ideas will grow for us all.
